“The Purveyor of Fine Yarns has returned from New York Sheep and Wool Festival tired but happy. A big thank you to all the people who stopped by our booth in Building 26, by the gate. I will never forget seeing the very long line of people waiting to enter Saturday morning. When I heard the countdown start, I ran for my booth! One of the nicest things is when someone walks up and says “this is the sweater I made with the yarn I bought from you last year, I love it, it is so comfortable.” Those words make me so happy. The wool from farm flocks raised by farm families in the Midwest becomes the favorite sweater of a knitter on the East Coast. That is a wonderful thing, sourcing local and making connections.
